Fatigue

Western Diagnosis

Fatigue is not a disorder in itself, it is a symptom with many possible causes. Most illness, from the common cold to cancer, is accompanied by fatigue, as the body is working to repair itself.

Fatigue can also be the first sign of health problems such as diabetes, candidiasis, anemia, cancer, hypoglycemia, allergies, poor circulation and mononucleosis. Extremely persistent fatigue however, can also be an indicator of chronic fatigue syndrome.

In other cases, persistent fatigue which is not the result of an underlying illness, is usually due to diet, lifestyle and emotional stress.
